Informative and Impressive

This tour differed from our more general Rio walking tour as it traced how Brazil came to be the hub of culture it is today back to the arrival of enslaved peoples in the port of Rio. The history was interesting and clearly explained, and it encouraged further curiosity. Thoroughly enjoyed.

A very inspiring tour

Bruno found a inspiring way to look at a terrible chapter of history through highlighting how people resisted through music, dance and capoera. These were the rituals of bonding and community people so desperately needed in order to survive the terrible injustice done to them. And we need them today more than ever. I could truly feel that Bruno is somebody who loves and lives this part of Brasilian culture. When people come together in community there is a beautiful fire burning at its heart and through his tour Bruno spreads the sparks of this fire so more people are lit up by it
