Really wonderful tour guide

Ozan showed us really special places. Places you would not find yourself in a foreign city. Places locals go, and lots of background on history. I would strongly recommend it.

Fantastic cultural and historical intro to Istanbul!

The tour was fantastic! Great overview of Istanbul, from past to present. Özkan, our guide, kept the tour moving and stayed visible even in high-traffic areas. He has great tips on places to visit and restaurants to eat at. We felt very confident roaming Istanbul after his tour.

Getting to see new parts of the city

We had already been on a couple of tours in Istanbul before we went on this one, and what appealed to us was the chance to see areas we hadn't had a chance to explore yet. It was a good overview of different parts of the city, and we particularly appreciated the chance to go on the funicular! Unfortunately an uncomfortable reference to Jews and money by the guide, reinforcing antisemitic tropes, right at the end of the tour left a bad impression.
