The meeting instructions were clear and precise. Christians English was excellent, his knowledge of the zona 13 area was evident. The complexities of the political history of columbia and the drug trade were explained with insight and nuance.

Amazing tour

This was an excellent tour, made even better by our wonderful guide, Alexander. He was so knowledgeable and kind. He is from Comuna 13 and is passionate about his community and its history. We had a fun surprise stop at his family’s coffee and chocolate shop where we sampled 6 different chocolates and coffee. It was absolutely some of the best chocolate I’ve ever eaten and I’ve had chocolate all over the world. 100% recommend. Definitely the biggest highlight during our trip to Medellin!

So enjoyable

Our walking tour was very enjoyable! We got to sample some great chocolate and see some really fun murals during our trip and at the end of our tour at a gallery. Juanjo was very knowledgeable having had lived at communa 13 growing up. He was also a great help getting back to our apartment after the tour. I would highly recommend him as your guide.

Great Insight into the History of Comuna 13 by Alex

Alex our guide took us through the newer built Comuna 13 as well as the historical Comuna 13, including the history. Additionally, he had great recommendations for where to eat after.

Great tour with Cristian aka “teacher”

This tour was great! We picked the 4:30pm time slot so we were able to see Comuna 13 at day and night. Cristian was super knowledge and friendly. Highly recommended!
