El Palacio de Verano (颐和园) es el mayor y más completo jardín real existente, reputado como el museo del jardín real. Situado en el distrito de Haidian, a unos 15 km del centro de Pekín, el Palacio de Verano ocupa una superficie de 290 hectáreas.

Es un jardín imperial, el más completamente reservado, con los paisajes más ricos y los edificios más concentrados. El Palacio de Verano fue incluido en la lista del patrimonio cultural mundial en 1998.

Beijing Summer Palace

The Tour with Roy Li, who speaks very good and understable English, was very well organised. Only a short walk (5 min) from the metro station was the entrance. He explained the Summer Palace and its history very well. Time went flying, couldn't believe it was the end. We can very much recommend this tour and especially this tour guide. We were 3 people.

Breathtaking trip to the summer palace

We really loved the tour with Roy li. Roy is s great guide who has well prepared his tour with a lot of fun historical facts and interesting information. This made the tour and history come alive for us. The summer palace is beautiful and having guide around helps understand more the story around the place, Roy was also a good guide as he had a lot of suggestions on what to do after our trip with him ended. All the ideas he gave were really thoughtful like climbing to the top of the pagoda and had a serene beautiful view. We loved our trip so much that we immediately organised another tour with him.
