Description

We’ll begin the tour at the Metropolitan Cathedral of Buenos Aires, where we’ll go inside to see the mausoleum of the “Father of the Nation,” General San Martín.

We’ll continue with a brief walk through Plaza de Mayo, where we’ll learn about the founding of Buenos Aires and the town’s earliest structures, such as the Cabildo and the fort.

Next, we’ll walk down Defensa Street while admiring two of the oldest churches: the Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi and the Church of Our Lady of the Rosary, which played a key role during the British invasions and houses the mausoleum of Manuel Belgrano, the creator of the Argentine flag.

Our next stop will be the Paseo de la Historieta, featuring characters that shaped the childhoods (and adult lives) of millions of Argentines, including the iconic sculpture of Mafalda.

After taking the iconic photo, we’ll see the Casa Mínima, the narrowest house in Buenos Aires, just 2.5 meters wide. Who lived in this house?

As we walk along the cobblestone streets, we’ll arrive at Plaza Dorrego, a key site in the birth of our country, where we’ll be able to check out the antique market before ending the tour at the San Telmo Market.
