Description

Herzegovina is a geographical region in the southern part of the country, well known for the many sites declared as nature parks, national monuments of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

On this tour, we will visit four gems in Herzegovina enriched by miscellaneous history, culture, and exceptional nature.
Our first stop is the Kravice waterfall on Trebižat River, the natural paradise in Herzegovina. The waterfall's height is around 26 m, with a water amphitheater under the waterfall.

We proceed with our tour, and we stop by the medieval town Počitelj, probably the most picturesque place in the country, which had an important geostrategic role in the period from the 13th to the 17th century.

- The next stop is Vrelo Bune (Buna River spring) near Blagaj. It is an oasis, best known for the spring of the Buna River located inside the cave. Right next to the cave is the Dervish tekke, a Sufi spiritual retreat built in the Ottoman period.
Our final stop is Mostar, a cultural and historical center of the region, named after the bridge keepers who guarded the Stari Most (Old Bridge) in medieval times.

Includes

  • Konjičko rekreativni centar Pegasos
  • Jablanica Dam
  • Mostar Old Bridge
  • Počitelj Kula
  • Kravica Waterfall

Excellent tour

Our guide Adis was really informative and patient. He was also very interesting and we really enjoyed our experience with him. We learnt so much from him.

Interesting tunnel tour with Adis Hamzic.

As there were just the two of us Adis took us around in his own car to see the Tunnel of Hope, the Jewish Cemetery one of the locations on the hill from where the Serbian Army bombed Sarajevo and then the sniper's point even further up in the hills. He also has a van for larger groups. He is very friendly and extremely knowledgeable and answered any and all questions frankly and in an unbiased manner. Truly a wealth of historical information. We also took the morning walking tour with Adis. I would highly recommend doing both tours with Adis as it gives some continuity and paints a much fuller picture.
