Description

Experience Sarajevo after sunset on a relaxed free walking tour through the beautifully illuminated Old Town.

As the daytime heat fades and the city becomes more atmospheric, your local guide will take you through Baščaršija and the historic heart of Sarajevo, where Ottoman, Austro-Hungarian and modern influences meet uniquely.

The tour starts in front of Sarajevo City Hall – Vijećnica, one of the city’s most impressive landmarks at night. From there, we walk through Kazandžiluk, Bravadžiluk, Sebilj Square, the Gazi Husrev-bey area, Sarajevo’s meeting point of cultures and religions, the Sacred Heart Cathedral, the Old Orthodox Church area, and the Latin Bridge.

You will hear stories about Sarajevo’s people, traditions, daily life, religious coexistence, the assassination that changed world history, and the small details that are easy to miss when exploring alone.

This tour is ideal for first-time visitors, solo travellers, couples and friends who want a cooler and more atmospheric introduction to Sarajevo by night. At the end, you will also receive local recommendations for food, cafés, desserts, evening drinks and authentic places to visit.

Great tour!

Very interesting and engaging. Friendly guide who knew a lot. Totally recommended

Margherita Capacci · August 2026

Very useful and enjoyable

It lasted longer than expected because the guide was fully engaged with us. He was precise, knowledgeable, and welcomed discussions. I thoroughly enjoyed the short and crisp history lesson. A must-do tour to understand the nuances of the city/ country.

Not really biased, disregard the last comment

The tour was really really good. Adis was very knowledgeable about bosnian early and late history, and answered every question we threw at him, even the most especulative ones. We had the best time, enjoyed the bosnian humor, at the same time that we got quite emotional in some parts of the tour. Regarding religion, the comment made in the page prior to mine is totally inaccurate. The tour guide seems to be a secular guy, but very aware of the cultural and historical influences every culture had in Sarajevo's melting pot - witch is actually the motiff of the tour.

My 3rd time in sarajevo

So, it's difficult to satistify me. But adis, a master history student, did it

Excelent

Not only has answer to all the questions you have about the city, she has answer to questions you don't know yet you are interes to make

Adis was wonderful

This marked the second time I had a graduate student in history for a guide, and I wish more tour guides had similar backgrounds. Adis was thoroughly familiar with this wonderful city and easily contextualized his discussion of it's cultures, religions and history with each site as we walked. I can't remember learning more in such a short time. Absolutely wonderful.
