Description

Discover the living history of Valparaíso as we explore its oldest neighborhood, the cradle of traditions and a testament to the origins that earned it UNESCO World Heritage status. We’ll start at the iconic Plaza Sotomayor and take historic funiculars to visit parts of the Concepción and Alegre hills, where we’ll admire 19th-century European-inspired architecture—a legacy of immigration that shaped the city—and be captivated by the vibrant street art that brings its colorful streets to life.

From the terrace of Mercado Puerto, located in the heart of Barrio Puerto, we’ll enjoy a privileged view of the historic La Matriz neighborhood, complemented by a walk through the area and a visit to its art galleries, while delving into the fascinating original history of Valparaíso.

Join us and feel the unique energy of this city full of life, color, and tradition!

This was a great tour

We really enjoyed Diego's commentary - he was passionate, articulate and funny! He clearly loves his country and culture. One thing that would be helpful to see is a map or something visual to appreciate how the city has reclaimed land that was once ocean...thanks for everything Diego!

The Most Unusual Tour Ever

Sebastian was full of energy and a highly original tour guide. We had a great time and learned lots of wild and wonderful things about Valparaiso. He gave us an enormous amount of information and I would have enjoyed a few more quiet periods to absorb everything as we went. But overall a wonderful experience.

Amazing tour to get to know Valparaiso and Chilean culture/histo

The tour was great to get to know the neighborhoods of Alegre and Concepción. You really have the feeling to get to know the city, its history, street art and food culture. 10/10 recommendation

Fantastic tour and great guide!

Our guide was Stephen and he was extremely nice, friendly, enthusiastic, and informative. He explained everything really clearly and was happy to answer questions. We did the tour on a Monday which worked well, as the museums are closed on Mondays and so the city was a lot emptier and calmer. Really glad we chose this tour! A great way to get to know Valparaiso.
