Description

This tour is ideal for travelers who wish to gain a thorough understanding of Chinese traditional culture, and deeper insight into philosophy and beliefs.

This compact walking loop begins at the vibrant Lama Temple, one of Beijing's most active Tibetan Buddhist monasteries, where the air is thick with sandalwood incense and worshippers spin prayer wheels beneath golden rooftops. The temple's towering Maitreya Buddha statue and ornate halls make it a spiritual highlight not to be missed.

From there, it continues to the historic Confucius Temple and Imperial College, a serene complex of ancient courtyards filled with stone steles inscribed with the names of scholars who passed the imperial exams centuries ago.

The walk then ends in Wudaoying Hutong, a narrow lane that has been transformed from a quiet residential alley into a lively stretch of trendy boutiques, artisan coffee shops, craft beer bars, and colorful street murals.

This short but rewarding walk offers a fascinating contrast between spiritual devotion, academic heritage, and modern urban culture.

Great Tour

Our guide, Sónia, was fantastic. She was extremely knowledgeable about the places we visited, as well as the different religions and philosophies, which gave us a very comprehensive understanding of everything we saw during the tour. She was always available to answer our questions and consistently demonstrated an impressive depth of knowledge. We absolutely loved the experience and would highly recommend her.

She is an ab solute professional: interesting facts, visual materials, excellent delivery and attention to every detail! She was available for every our need and question! We enjoyed both the tour and the company. Absolutely recommended for Beijing first-timers and frequest goers! She didn't only prepared an interesting walk, but also gave us lots of advice on what to visit, where to go, what to taste and which restaurants to choose. She followed us from A to Z, even with the little baby the tour resulted to be comfortable and bit all our expectations.
