Description

Departure to Lešetice, 70 km from Prague, southeast, a village with only 200 inhabitants. We will pass by the Prague hippodrome and by the edge of the Vltava river. Entering the forest, we will see the visitors' place. It is set apart from the camp so that the relatives are not horrified when they see the barbed wire fences.

Meters later, we will arrive at the gates of the camp. Let's be prepared to go back to those times. First, we will go up to the camp's general watchtower. From there, we will show you a panoramic view of the places to visit, and you will hear about the history and why. Of that Gulag.

Then, we will enter the former camp commandant's office, which is now a museum about the Czech Gulags. We will continue through the punishment cells, the re-education room, the infirmary, and the barracks that have been adapted as exhibition rooms about dissidents and detractors. Then we will see an exhibition about the last battles of the war after its end and finally we will visit an exhibition about the extraction and use of uranium in the Czech Republic.
