Free Tour of Vyšehrad Castle and Prague's Founding Myths

Every country and nation has its founding myths, and while almost everyone knows the founders of Rome, who outside Czechia knows of Libuše - the mythical founder of Prague?

If you want to learn about the myths that shaped the modern Czech nation, this is the right place. Follow our guide as they recite all the myths and legends on which modern Czechia was build. We will spend most of our time in the Vyšehrad castle complex, where many of these tales take place, and you will hear all about the history of this important castle, whose importance is often overlooked in favor of the Prague castle.

But we are not going to just tell the tales as they were. We also ask why the tales are told as they are and what they can tell us about the original inhabitants of Vyšehrad Castle.

The tour takes around 75 minutes, and we will be excited to experience this journey with you!
