Description

Berlin has two faces. Choose your shift:
DAY—Street art, squats, and underground history from Kreuzberg to Friedrichshain.
NIGHT—Kreuzberg, DIY communities, murals, graffiti, canals, and clubs.
Two different routes.
BERLIN’S UNDERGROUND. NOT BERLIN’S INSTAGRAM.
No Haus Schwarzenberg. No Holzmarkt 25. No predictable “Alternative Berlin” checklist.
New here, not to alternative tours. I created this concept 20 years ago and spent 25 years in Berlin’s alternative scene.
Discover West Berlin counterculture, born from Cold War isolation.
Visit a DIY Spree community built from reclaimed materials and meet its colony of seven cats.
Discover murals, rooftops, crew tags, political graffiti, and codes used by the left and Antifa.
See a Kreuzberg venue visited by Bowie and Iggy Pop. Hear about manhole bars, elderly punks, and street politics.
The day shift includes a squatted hospital, a Wall-era Treehouse, reggae culture, Berghain’s exterior, and a bombed depot turned alternative playground.
Night Shift follows the Spree into canal clubs as Berlin comes alive.
NO COLOURED UMBRELLAS. NO CROWDS.
Maximum 12 guests. No transport ticket needed.

Great tour !

Adrian is passionate and transmit his knowledge of the area with a big smile, fun anecdotes and cheerfulness. I'd recommend this tour for anyone who wants to go off the beaten track and have a great insight of one of the many faces of Berlin.

Highly recommended!

I've lived in Berlin for over 10 years, but this tour made me see the city with completely new eyes. Places I'd passed countless times suddenly revealed hidden stories, and even the graffiti took on a whole new meaning. We also discovered hidden corners I would never have found on my own. I won't spoil them here – they're best experienced with Adrian's fascinating explanations, which bring every place to life. A point is deducted for organization, as the tour ended in darkness due to the season, making it difficult to fully appreciate some sights. Don't miss this tour. Highly recommended!

Awesome Alternative Art and Culture Berlin Tour

Adrian our tour guide (forgive me if that was not your name i have the memory of a goldfish) was incredibly welcoming, knowledgeable and helpful. I think every tourist in Berlin should do this tour to gain an understanding and respect for what some may assume is just ‘vandalism’. The stories behind the graffiti and street art are not only fascinating but moving too. We feel much more emotionally connected with Berlin, like we somehow now have insider knowledge and we definitely have developed a profound respect for the street artists, the anti gentrification movement and the activists in Berlin in general. Truly a tour worth taking! Adrian also helped us get home, helped us find a spot for dinner and let us know where the best clubbing scenes are. Overall we had a fantastic first night in Berlin thanks to this tour and we are excited to explore more and go tag spotting! Thanks Adrian!
