Description

We start our walk through Hamburg's Neustadt district in front of Dammtor station near the ramparts and take a trip to Hamburg's oldest green space.

There, in the peaceful urban idyll, we explore the military past of this park and its use in Hamburg's rise to become a metropolis on the Elbe.

Fathom the consequences of these wrong decisions,
admire the visionary urban planning of the post-war period and the result of the last Gängeviertel redevelopment

We will talk about what it takes to be a Hamburger and to be able to call yourself one.
We will look at the bourgeoisie and their privileges and the arrogance of Hamburg politics.
what were the chances of advancement for rich and poor in 19th century Hamburg?
I'll tell you about two well-known Hamburg residents whose life stories couldn't have been more different.

I will dispel Hamburg clichés and talk to you about Hamburg originals and the history behind these "model citizens".

Come with me through the Neustadt, the small town in the big city with all its contrasts.

Tropical in Hamburg
