Description

On this tour, you will see well-known places and learn to navigate the city by walking, taking trains, taking buses, and using the Metro.

We will walk and learn about the central train station, the Tivoli (only stop and see from the outside!), the town hall, Christianborg (parliament), Strøget (shopping streets), and Nyhavn. We will briefly stop and look at the design and architecture of old and new buildings while walking. Likewise, you will hear about Danish food, in particular Smørrebrød. And you will hear about the most famous writers from Denmark.

You will also be presented to museums and well-known entertainment possibilities in Copenhagen.

Kierkegaard and Frederiksen

Unfortunately, all other participants dropped out, but Jóhannes was willing to conduct the tour anyway, and the two of us had him all to ourselves. :) The tour was basically a fast walk-through the inner city along most important sights, where he gave us quite a few starting points for own ventures. Beside that we enjoyed to learn some interesting insights about Kierkegaard (from the enthusiast he is), and Danish politics (from the insider he is as well). Overall, it was a very nice experience to have this walk with Jóhannes.

Excellent introduction to Copenhagen

This tour provides an excellent introduction to Copenhagen. The main sights are included and you get a bit of history, current affairs and many useful practical tips. Johannes is very knowledgeable and helpful. Highly recommend to start your visit of Copenhagen.
