Enjoy a unique experience. This tour is designed for those seeking a different perspective on Quito’s colonial historic district, offering access to terraces and domes that few people get to visit.
We’ll meet at the iconic Casa del Marqués. You’ll recognize me by my hat and my national guide ID.

From here, we’ll embark on a tour that connects us with Quito’s history and architecture. We’ll discover the significance of its iconic balconies and terraces, which offer 360° panoramic views of the city. From this vantage point, we’ll understand how Quito developed from ancient times to the present day, as well as the advantages and challenges of living in a city surrounded by mountains and volcanoes.

The view will amaze you at every stop along the tour. To round out the experience, we’ll visit one of Quito’s most bohemian streets, where we’ll sample ice cream in exotic flavors that honor Quito’s traditions.

Quito by Surprise

The tour offered a unique experience… and Stefy delivered! We started at morning tea time, so we had a delicious tea experience on the balcony of Kotea, an unknown tea shop with a view. All stops had extraordinary views (hence the name of the tour). Biggest surprise was the stairwell to the dome of the Cathedral overlooking Independence Square….. gobsmacking view! Tasty snacks/drinks along the seemingly short walk made the time fly. Very much enjoyed this different perspective of Quito. Thank you Stefy, for sharing your knowledge and love of your home town!
