Discover the heart of the city with our Free Tour of Monumental Burgos: the must-see tour. We’ll begin our tour at the spectacular Arco de Santa María, the ancient gate in the city wall that welcomes visitors to the historic district. From there, we’ll stroll along the iconic Paseo del Espolón, discovering key buildings such as the Consulado del Mar, the Provincial Palace, and the Teatro Principal.

Our route will take us to the famous Statue of El Cid Campeador, where we’ll relive the exploits of this historical figure before admiring the architecture of the Palacio de los Condestables (the Casa del Cordón). We’ll cross the squares of Santo Domingo de Guzmán and the Plaza Mayor—the heart of Burgos’s social life—to venture into the medieval streets of the Huerto del Rey.

We’re saving the best for last: we’ll walk around the Burgos Cathedral to explore it from every angle. We’ll pass through the Llanas neighborhood, admire the spectacular Golden Staircase next to the Church of San Nicolás de Bari, and finish in the main square in front of its Gothic façade.
