Description

The "Tacita de Plata" hosts every year one of the oldest carnivals in the West, recognized as a Festival of National Tourist Interest and Treasure of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Spain. With this unique free tour we will learn how the Carnival of Cadiz has become a cultural manifestation that faithfully reflects the identity of Cadiz.

We will immerse ourselves in its curiosities and funny stories: controversial lyrics, rivalry with other carnivals or between the groups themselves, artists who have left their mark... In this way we will understand perfectly the influence of this party in the city and its society and we will decipher why it has become such a famous event.

We will walk through the must-see places of the city as we walk along the "Caminito del Falla", strolling from the City Hall to the Caleta Beach through several points and, of course, through the Gran Teatro Falla, the temple of all the people of Cadiz and lovers of its carnival. We will discover how the carnival groups prepare their performances throughout the year and learn that these are not only entertainment, but also a way to preserve and transmit local traditions.

Me ha encantado este tour con Virginia! Es sorprendente cómo el Carnaval forma parte de la ciudad a lo largo de todo el año y no solo estos días en que la fiesta está asegurada jejeje. Una forma alternativa de conocer algunos de los lugares más destacados de Cádiz con historias que no se cuentan en un tour al uso. Repetiría 100%, gracias!!

Paseo enriquecedor!

¡guau! que maravilla Virginia! ya conocía Cádiz en carnavales pero nunca de la mano de un guía. Nos dió información súper interesante que desconocíamos, y eso que soy súper fan de los carnavales de Cádiz. Nunca había mirado el Gran Teatro Falla con tanto detalle! merece la pena hacer esta actividad porque si ya Cádiz enamora, con guías como Virginia y con toda la información que nos ofreció, termina siendo un paseo de lo más enriquecedor! Gracias! sin duda repetiremos :)
