La Granada de Al-Andalus Free Tour

We will meet at the Plaza de San Miguel Bajo to begin our tour. We will visit three monuments that will allow us to discover what life was like in this city between the 8th and 15th centuries.

First, we will explore the Dar al-Horra Palace, discovering its various rooms and learning why it belonged to the mother of Boabdil. We will wander through the most picturesque corners of the Albaicín neighborhood—a UNESCO World Heritage site. After passing by a viewpoint overlooking the Alhambra, we will arrive at the Aljibe de Trillo, a water cistern that once supplied the old Muslim quarter.
Continuing past the Church of the Conversos and the significant Nasrid-era street of San Juan de los Reyes, we will reach the Nasrid Maristán, founded by Sultan Muhammad V in the 14th century as Granada’s first hospital.

Our final stop is El Bañuelo, one of the best-preserved Arab baths on the Iberian Peninsula, located on the Paseo de los Tristes at the foot of the Alhambra—undoubtedly the perfect place to conclude this journey through Al-Andalus.
