Free Tour Plasencia: The Dream of Alfonso VIII & Historical Center

In this free tour we will walk through the historic center, a medieval enclosure of 26 hectares, to understand how the decisions of a king in the twelfth century marked the fate of the city until today. We will walk through the great historic districts of Plasencia and visit some of the most representative elements of the city: primitive churches, old hospitals, convents and palaces such as the Palace of the Marquises.

We will also visit essential places such as the Plaza Mayor, the city wall and the Torre Lucia, the most important tower of the city.

And, of course, we will make an exterior visit to its cathedrals, a unique set in Spain that reflects the importance that Plasencia reached throughout the centuries.
