Free Tour: Monumental Seville from the Metropol-Parasol

We start our visit at the Metropol-Parasol, known as Las Setas, an avant-garde structure with unique views of the historic center. We continue to the Iglesia del Salvador, a baroque jewel erected on the site of a former mosque. In the nearby Plaza Nueva we admire the Town Hall, with its elegant Renaissance facade. The route leads us to the Cathedral, the largest Gothic cathedral in the world, which houses artistic treasures and the tomb of Columbus. Next to it rises the Giralda, an Almohad minaret transformed into a bell tower, from where the whole city can be seen.

We entered the Royal Alcazar, palace of kings with lavish halls and gardens. In front of it, the Archivo de Indias preserves key documents of American history. We walk to the majestic Hotel Alfonso XIII, a symbol of Sevillian elegance, and the Old Tobacco Factory, today a university campus and stage for the opera Carmen. The visit concludes at the legacy of the Exposition of 1929, with regional pavilions, and the monumental Plaza de España, icon of Seville.
