Historic Tarragona: More Than Two Thousand Years of History "Brought to Life"

The dramatized tour will begin at the Balcón del Mediterráneo. An important figure from the 1st century has appeared in our time to guide you on an immersive tour—and if you’d like, you can actively participate as well. It’s the only tour in Catalonia that combines history, drama, activities, and a contest.

We’ll continue on to the Amphitheater, where we’ll learn about the entertainment of the Roman people and their gladiator fights.

The next stop will be the circus. We’ll experience a thrilling and unique show.

We’ll visit the Praetorian Tower and learn about its various uses over the past 2,000 years.

The tour will continue to a section of the Roman and medieval city walls, exploring their construction during the Roman Empire and their subsequent use.

We’ll head into the old town until we reach a Modernist building; we’ll learn about its surprising original use.
We’ll stop on Portal del Carro Street to learn about the martyrdom of Sant Magi.
We’ll stand in front of the cathedral’s façade to explain its details and say goodbye.
We’ll wrap up with a short quiz on everything covered during the tour and see who will be our champion, with a special souvenir.
