We begin our tour at Place Bellecour. After a brief presentation to situate us in the history and soul of the city, we will enter the heart of the Presqu'île. We will admire the Célestins theater and the harmonious architecture of the Place des Jacobins. We will cross the Passage de l'Argue until we reach the lively Rue Mercière, famous for its varied gastronomic offer.
From there, we will head to Vieux Lyon, one of the best preserved medieval and Renaissance neighborhoods in Europe, where we will explore such highlights as the Palace of Justice, the Roman archaeological garden, the Saint-Jean cathedral and its museums. We will also delve into the traboules, historic passageways that hide fascinating stories.
Finally, we will return to La Presqu'île to discover the Place des Terreaux, the City Hall and the Lyon Opera House, undisputed symbols of the city.
Throughout the tour, I will share with you recommendations of restaurants, traditional bouchons, cafés and other special places that will make your experience in Lyon even more complete.

Lyon city tour

The tour guide, fernando, was great, very clear and explained the history of the city very well. Unfortunatly, because of the manifestation that was going on, only my cousin and i were the only people on that tour, but nonetheless we had a great time. The tour started 5 min late due to a previous tour by he communicated to us beforehand, and we really appreciated that

Great tour!

Overall, great tour! We started a little bit late because of a previous tour that he was leading but he communicated to us clearly. He told us a little a bit about historical locations, historical contexts, and the layout of the city. He also gave us great restaurant recommendations. His English is great and was very clear in explanations. Fernando is very relatable. My only critique is that the history was a bit lacking compared to other guided tours that I have been on.

nice tour

Overall it was a good tour. Fernando is a nice guy and was excited to show us Lyon. We learnt a lot about the city, but I felt like a general narrative was missing. He was also late by like 10mins and I had to reach out to figure out whether the tour is happening or not.
