Description

I invite you to take an extraordinary walk in Nîmes, the French Rome: elegant and full of history. Discover this wonderful city, very close to Montpellier, hand in hand with a local Latin.

We start at the beautiful Fontaine Pradier, on the Esplanade Charles de Gaulle, and from there we walk to the Porte d'Auguste, a monumental Roman gate.

We will cross historic streets and learn about the curious history of the Clock Tower.

Later, in an unexpected place, I will tell you how the most worn garment in the world is intimately linked to Nîmes. Do you know what it is?

We will continue to the Maison Carrée, the oldest and best preserved Roman temple in the world, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and there I will tell you its incredible story.

You will also discover the mystery of the crocodile, emblem of Nîmes, why does it appear on all its symbols? And more surprises!

The tour ends in front of the Arena of Nîmes, the best preserved Roman amphitheater in the world. A perfect journey to discover the essence and mysteries of Nîmes.
