Description

We begin in Covent Garden, beneath glittering decorations, before heading to Trafalgar Square to discover the wartime friendship behind Norway’s annual Christmas tree gift. Through St James’s, we continue to Fortnum & Mason and Burlington Arcade, where elaborate displays and elegant surroundings set the festive scene. Along the way, hear how Dickens, Prince Albert, gift-giving and festive feasting became part of Christmas as we know it. In Mayfair, we explore the lavish decorations around Berkeley Square, with a detour to Savile Row, where the Beatles played their final rooftop concert. Our finale takes us beneath Regent Street’s illuminated angels and into the colourful Christmas decorations of Carnaby Street, with Soho’s pubs and restaurants nearby for anyone continuing their evening.
