Best tour of Kutaisi

We had Aleks as our guide on the free walking tour in Kutaisi, and we couldn't have asked for a better one! He is incredibly kind, warm and attentive, and he helped us with everything we needed along the way. When we mentioned that we still needed an umbrella, he went out of his way to recommend a good place to buy one. He even called the Prometheus Cave for us to check whether it was open, which saved us a lot of uncertainty and made planning the rest of our stay much easier. Aleks gave us a really vivid picture of the history of Kutaisi and of Georgia as a whole. He brought it to life with plenty of photos, which made it much easier to imagine how things used to look and how the city has changed. What we liked most was that he adapted perfectly to our interests and didn't just stick to a fixed script. He also told us a lot about everyday life in Georgia, from local habits to little things you would never find in a guidebook, which gave us a much deeper understanding of the country and its people. He took the time to answer all of our questions, no matter how many we had, and never made us feel rushed. This was easily one of the highlights of our time in Kutaisi. We would recommend the tour (and Aleks in particular) to anyone visiting the city. Thank you so much, Aleks! ????

Interesting walk

The Kutaisi old town is nice compact. Akaki explained the rich history very well and also information which you don't find in travel guides. So definitely worth it.
