Description

Join me on a scenic forest hike along the rocky trails of Mount Hymettus, with breathtaking views of Athens!

I won’t bore you with all the history and legends of Greece. Instead, I’ll share the most interesting things I discovered in Athens as a foreigner myself. I’ll show you my favorite spots and lead you along my favorite trails, where we’ll see the local herbs and plants along the way.

During the hike, we’ll explore ancient ruins, take stunning photos, and visit the mysterious Dragon House, a small dry-stone structure built with massive stone blocks without cement. Afterward, we’ll relax at the local refreshment spot, Kalopoula, before heading back to our starting point.

This experience is perfect for small groups of up to 6 people, at a comfortable pace. Book your spot now and enjoy a personal, unforgettable day in nature with a local foreign guide.

Super hike with Natalia

A super hike with Natalia, with interesting and scenic views throughout. I learned so much about the local plants, trees, and nature along the way, which made the experience even more engaging. The monestary was cool, and the Dragon’s House was a great place to take a break and shelter and enjoy the view over Athens. Natalia thoughtfully brought herbal tea and spare paper cups, which was a lovely touch, and on the way back we stopped for coffee and cake at a small café, rounding off a really enjoyable day.

Hiking in Ymittos with Natalia Yaroshenko

Me and my husband had a great hiking experience with Natalia! It was not only a joy from the nature, the views, the historical and geographical sites, but also a joy from the companionship! It was a refreshing escape from the city, and we were lucky to meet on our way turtles and the fox! The views were breathtaking and Natalia took us to all the cool points on our rоute. Definitely the tour to take without a hesitation!

Kaisariani Fire Lookout Station “Dimitris Karamolegkos” – Free T

I had an incredible experience on this free tour to the Kaisariani Fire Lookout Station. Getting there was super easy – I took a bus from Athens and then walked around 15–20 minutes to the checkpoint. I was very lucky to be the only person on the hike that day, which made it feel even more personal and special. Natalia met me at the checkpoint and we started walking right away. Our route included: •Dragon House of Hymettus •Kalopoula – Refreshments & Hiking Spot •Taxiarches Hill Panoramic Viewpoint We took plenty of breaks for water and to soak in the breathtaking views. The panoramic viewpoint was absolutely stunning – no photo could ever truly capture the beauty of Athens from up there. The hike itself took about 3.5 hours. It was mostly steady inclines with a few rocky and narrow paths. I’d rate it as moderate, but beginners could definitely manage it with a steady pace. Just make sure to wear proper footwear and bring plenty of water! As for Natalia – what an incredible person, even before being a guide. She spoke with such passion about nature, which was truly admirable. She’s cool, easy to talk to, and incredibly knowledgeable about Athens, hiking routes, cycling, plants, and more. Her English was great, and she also speaks Ukrainian fluently. This tour was one of the highlights of my trip. I’d absolutely recommend it to anyone who wants a peaceful and inspiring escape into nature with a brilliant guide.

Me and my husband realy enjoyed our hike with Natalia. It was realy nice, interesting and not to demanding. A nice half of a day city getaway and opportunity to see mediteranean plants and small animals like birds and land turtles. We visited some intetesting sites and the view is great. Loot's of opporunities for some nice photos. Also Natalia was really flexible and moved the hike time to meet our travel plans. Maja

If you're looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city, this tour comes highly recommended. Just a short 30-minute journey from the city center, you'll find yourself immersed in a beautiful natural landscape.
