Have you ever wondered what traditional Greek instruments sound like?

We invite you to discover the fascinating world of traditional Greek music through an interactive musical experience.

During this workshop, you’ll learn about traditional instruments such as the askomantoura (Cretan bagpipe), the kaval, and various types of traditional flutes.

You’ll discover their sounds, learn about their histories and traditions, enjoy live musical demonstrations, and pick up some basics on how to play them.

Plus, you’ll have the chance to experiment with some of the instruments and produce your first sounds—no musical knowledge or prior experience required.

It will be an opportunity to listen, learn, experiment, and connect with the rich musical traditions of Crete and Greece.
