An exceptional tour

The tour we had in Thessaloniki was exceptional in many ways. For me it was the first tour I took when it was already dark. Of course 6pm isn’t late but at this time of the year the sun has already set. This is nice in one way but on the other hand I would have preferred a tour a daylight, but unfortunately no guide was available for the 10.30 tour. Hence only 4 stars for the organization. Second was that we were lucky to experience Thessaloniki at freezing temperatures. Despite warm clothes, it was quite cold as there was a strong wind as well. I don’t mind cold weather but somehow the atmosphere was not as relaxed as it could be. The rest is quickly said, the guide and the content was interesting, motivated and well told! Thank you Nik. I can only recommend it.

Excellent

Nick was informed, informal and entertaining, and happy to let the tour over-run as we delayed him by asking questions. Highly recommended

Thessaloniki walking tour.

I originally booked a 6pm tour but unfortunately it was cancelled at short notice, I was just 5 mintes away from the meeting point whan I receoved the message. However, it was possible to rearrange for the next morning. Nik was our guide a very pleasant and knowledgeable young man who clearly loved showing the sights and explaining the history behind them. He allowed plenty of time to take photos and take a breather when necessary. It was very hot 38C, and a long walk so this was greatly appreciated. He also avised us on places to eat like a Greek and areas to avoid late at night. I recommend this tour highly, but please make sure you wear suitable footwear it is tough on the feet.

Walking tour

Our tour was great! The guide started a bit slow and didn’t say much, but the farther we went, the better and better it got. I loved all we saw and learned.
