Description

Join me, a licensed local guide, on a fun and engaging small-group walking tour through Split’s historic core, limited to a maximum of 6 guests for a more personal and interactive experience.
Together we’ll explore Diocletian’s Palace, a 1700-year-old UNESCO site, and its most famous landmarks. We’ll start at the Golden Gate, the grand entrance to the palace, where I’ll tell you about Emperor Diocletian. Then we’ll visit the Peristyle, the central Roman square surrounded by ancient columns and sphinxes. We’ll explore the Vestibule, a domed hall that once welcomed imperial guests.

We’ll pass by the Temple of Jupiter (viewed from outside), an ancient Roman temple turned baptistery. Then visit lively local spots like Fruit Square and People’s Square, where history blends with everyday life. I’ll show you parts of Diocletian’s Cellars that are free to access. We will conclude our tour at the Republic Square. Inspired by Venetian architecture, it’s a beautiful spot to end our journey through Split’s history.
This isn’t a dry history lecture; it’s a friendly gathering full of stories, fun, and local traditions, giving you an authentic taste of Split’s past and present.

Great Tour

The tour was super interesting. Luka even adjusted the route to avoid most of the stairs, because we were attending with our baby in the stroller.

Great Tour with Luka

We didn't expect to be allone with our guide, but so it was a very personal and nice tour. Luka explained Split and its history in a wonderful way with some funny Details and at the end we gibt some useful hints. Thanks again!

One of a kind

Luka had a unique way to share great stories that make him different from any other tour guide. He was not rushing us, was relaxed, took the time to respond to questions, presented us with great insights (Sigmund Freud, Agatha Christie, sphinx, St Anthony of Egypt, etc.) and kept us wondering what was next at each corner. A very interesting tour indeed. We believe we know Split now from the inside out thanks to him.
