Description

Welcome to Crobites – Zagreb’s First Free Gastro Tour!

Have you ever wondered what makes Croatian cuisine so diverse? Want to discover where locals shop, meet the people behind Zagreb’s market culture, and taste some of the flavors that shape Croatian cuisine?

If your answer is yes, you're in the right place!

We’ll start at Dolac Market, the heart of Zagreb’s food culture. As we explore the colorful stalls, you’ll discover seasonal produce, local specialties, homemade products, and the stories behind them.

What do Croatians actually buy at the market? Which products are part of everyday life, and how do they end up on our tables?

Along the way, you’ll taste authentic local specialties such as čvarci, fresh cheese with sour cream, pršut and more, while learning about Croatian food traditions and the people who keep them alive.

We’ll also step beyond the main market to explore nearby small food shops and traditional bakeries, discovering more of the flavors Zagreb has to offer.

Come hungry, curious, and ready to experience Zagreb through its market, its people, and its food!

Book your spot and discover Zagreb like a local!

Betim

The tour was really interesting and fun even for someone like me who doesn't do this kind of stuff and lives in Zagreb for two years already. Katia is a great and kind guide, giving all kinds of information about the history of city and our country, describing each food in detail(which was very tasty) and just overall she makes a really pleasant atmosphere. It was a great experience and I highly recommend it! :)

Amazing

She knew so much about different influences on food and food prep fromt he different ethinicities that form Croatia. I loved the history of it as well as the food. She answered evry question, food or not.

Food tour

Overall this was a lovely experience. I have done similar type tours in other cities and so was expecting more historical/general cultural info, (not just food info but a comment on this or that monument or site) as this is what I have experienced before. HOWEVER, our guide did provide just what she had advertised, so that’s on me, not her. Delightful young lady. Well paced. A fun couple of hours.

Great walk through Zagreb with food

We had a lovely walk with Katya in Zagreb. She provided a brief history of Croatia, an explanation of all the different food influences, an insight in the local life. The food and drinks we had were all great. Highly recommended tour

Positive Surprise

We enjoyed the Tour with Sara 1 She is competent, very friendly and responsive to question. A lot of valuable Information is bring provided. Would do the Tour anytime again. Too Bad that 4 out of 9 participants „forgot“ to give her an appropriate Tip!!!
