Description

Discover Jakarta’s Cultural Harmony: A Journey Through Faith, Heritage, and Art

Join me on a unique walking tour through Jakarta’s rich tapestry of history and culture. We’ll begin at the stunning Jakarta Cathedral, a magnificent piece of neo-Gothic architecture that stands proudly across from the grand Istiqlal Mosque, the largest mosque in Southeast Asia. Here, we’ll witness the spirit of religious harmony that makes Indonesia truly special.

Next, we head to Kota Tua, Jakarta’s Old Town, where colonial buildings and cobblestone streets tell the story of the city’s Dutch past. We’ll explore the Museum Fatahillah (Jakarta History Museum), home to fascinating artifacts and stories from centuries ago.

Afterward, experience the magic of traditional craftsmanship with a stop at a Wayang Workshop, where you’ll see how these iconic shadow puppets are made and maybe try making one yourself! Then, we’ll continue to Glodok (Chinatown), walking through vibrant markets and historic alleys before visiting a serene Buddhist Temple, a peaceful sanctuary in the heart of the city.

Jakarta Walking Tour

Great tour and fantastic guide. Fifi took us to all the highlights of Central Jakarta and the Old Town. She was very knowledgeable and gave us plenty of information. It's quite a long tour, but Fifi looked after us, and even got us water and snacks. Would definitely recommend if you're visiting Jakarta.
