Description

I’m Badal, a lifelong resident of Varanasi, where my family has lived for generations. This deep connection allows me to know every hidden corner of this sacred city and share its fascinating stories of tradition, history, religion, and everyday life.

Varanasi is the heart of India, full of vibrant energy and mystery that has drawn visitors for centuries. With countless secrets hidden within its streets, it’s impossible to uncover them all alone, but with my help, you’ll experience the true essence of the city.

Our 3-hour tour begins at the meeting point, where we’ll explore the most significant historical and religious landmarks—Ghats, cremation grounds, temples, markets, and street food stalls. We’ll also visit lesser-known spots that reveal the true face of modern Varanasi.

Along the way, I’ll share historical facts and stories about our customs, daily life, and local cuisine. I would be delighted to guide you through this captivating journey. Let me help you discover Varanasi's hidden magic!

Hidden strengs of Varanasi

We enjoyed the tour with Niwas. He showded us hidden places, war very informative and gave us enough time to have a look around and to take pictures. We were satisfied but he was disappointed about the fee (less than €10), which was in line with similar tours in other cities. Started to talk about taxes and had to “inform his boss”(?). So the tour was goed, but the end gave us a little bit bad feeling.

Highly recommend this tour

Our guide Niwas was great! He showed and explained many of Varanasi's main sites. It was important for him to give us all the information possible. We feel this tour is a must for anyone who wants to understand this special city

The best Tour Guide in the world

Akash is simply incredible. He's a passionate young man with a great hospitality, he knows the city, and he knows how to comfortably guide you through the most important places in Baranas. 100% recommended.

Good tour in Varanasi

The tour was good, passing through several important places, always with a lot of information from the guide. We saw the oldest crematorium in the city, right inside, and all the details of the process were explained. The worst part came at the end! Imagine my surprise when the tour guide said we had to give a minimum of €10-15 per person. He put some people who gave less than that amount in contact with his boss by phone. Instead of being a free tour, they should have set a fee. I won't repeat the experience!

An informative introductory tour

I joined the tour as soon as I arrived in Varanasi, and it's a great way to get a flavour of the rituals and the area. It was a bonus seeing the underground temples, otherwise I would have missed them. Good amount of history and not too much. If I were to be picky, our guide could walk a bit slower, so that people could catch up and not feel rushed. Also, not just applying to this guide, he could speak more slowly considering the accent. Having said that, he did check if I understood what he said. Attention to small details like these would be a bonus.
