I offer a 2-hour, quality small group guided walking tour of the city of Pisa in English, exploring the major attractions but also getting to see some of the sites that are off the beaten track and popular with locals.

My walking tour, led by a genuine local guide, will introduce you to the real City of Pisa – right up to and beyond the iconic Leaning Tower. The itineary is absolutely easy going and the walking is always at a leisurely pace.

A unique way to enjoy this unpretentious university city where you have the opportunity to learn about history and monuments but also the every day life of a small and lively Medieval Tuscan town. See the City from a different angle – Discover hidden lanes, Photograph the city from unusual places, See, of course, the Leaning Tower plus other famous monuments.

The tour is usually available on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, with a start time at 10:00 am. It starts at the fountain outside of Pisa Centrale train station and ends after two hours at the monumental complex of the Cathedral and Leaning Tower with an all-external general introduction to this wonderful Unesco-protected heritage.

David Di Giacomo

David was an excellent tour guide, regularly giving us a historical context for the places we were seeing. We began our walk towards and down the Main Street where shopping now abounds but its past history was of palaces and power and intrigue. He also gave us a great feel for who the Pisan’s are and how their city thrives now. It was an enjoyable few hours in which we learned a lot . I’d recommend David’s tour. Merrien

An informative tour of Pisa with a local guide

David Di Giacomo is a knowledgeable, kind and responsive guide who took us through the history of Pisa for two hours. Pisa is a relatively small town and he provides you the basics to continue on your own. His tour starts at the train station and conveniently ends at the Pisa tower, where he explains you the history, restauration works and the other monuments around. If you want to climb the tower, reserve and buy your spot at least a week in advance. I can recommend David's tour!!!
