Description

Forget the crowds and step into the authentic, living Venice that most travelers never see. On this tour, we will leave the beaten path to explore hidden courtyards, quiet canals, and districts where locals still live and breathe the true Venetian atmosphere.

This is the Venice of the locals—mysterious, quiet, and incredibly charming.

I’m Simona, and I don’t just want to be your guide; I want to be your local storyteller. My tours are a deep dive into the soul of Venice—we’ll explore its fascinating history, vibrant culture, and the famous figures who walked these narrow streets. But Venice isn't just a museum! I love sharing our local customs, traditions, and, of course, tips on the best traditional food(because you can't truly understand Venice without tasting it). I believe learning should be a joy, not a lecture. My goal is to keep things fun and engaging without ever being superficial. I’ll share the secrets and details that most travelers miss, giving you a meaningful connection to my beautiful city.

Ready to discover the magic of Venice with me? I can’t wait to meet you! Ready to see what most tourists miss? Book your spot and step off the map with me!

Simona's Tour

Simona is a lovely, warm, humorous person who loves to interact and her tour off the beaten track was really nice and interesting!

An engaging and entertaining whirlwind tour of Venice

Simona is articulate and extremely knowledgeable about Venetian history and everyday life, having lived in the city for many years. She peppers her explanations with witty remarks and humorous anecdotes, making the tour both engaging and entertaining. She knows the history of this magnificent city inside out and is particularly good at distinguishing myths from facts. For example, the so-called “Marco Polo House” is actually a misnomer, as the original house associated with him burned down hundreds of years ago. Even more amusing is hearing the gondoliers passing by and enthusiastically announcing to their passengers that this is the house of the famous Venetian! Simona welcomes questions and generously shares her knowledge and insights with her audience. Thanks to her, we gained a deeper appreciation of this extraordinary city, its rich history, and its fascinating way of life—where ambulances, police, garbage collection, and even firefighters all travel by boat. We highly recommend this tour. You are in for a real treat!

Love Simona & her humour!

I’ve actively found out how to leave a review because she didn’t ask for one! Simona was a great tour guide who had a great sense of humour. We loved this ‘off the beaten track’ tour. We learnt so much about the history of Venice and found it very useful to navigate and look out for things for the rest of our holiday. She kept us listening with interactive questions where we had to come up with answers! Nice to do it with an individual and not a big corporation. Would recommend! Thankyou!
