We start our tour at Motomachi Station, where we gather by the curved wooden benches outside the station, a perfect spot to meet and get ready for the walk. From here, we stroll a few steps into Kobe Chinatown (Nankinmachi), immersing ourselves in the colorful streets filled with lanterns, shops, and delicious street food.
Next, we walk along Akashimachi-suji Avenue, a charming street favored by couples for its photogenic European-style buildings, leading us toward the Kobe Seaside Church, a serene and romantic landmark. Continuing toward the waterfront, we arrive at Meriken Park, enjoying views of the iconic Kobe Port Tower and the calm harbor. Here, we pass the Earthquake Memorial, a quiet reminder of Kobe’s resilience.
We end our tour at BE KOBE, the large white monument in Meriken Park, perfect for photos with the sparkling harbor and city lights as our backdrop. For the final stretch, we stroll into Kobe Harborland, enjoying the lively atmosphere of shops, cafés, and the seaside promenade before concluding the tour.
