Description

On this tour, you'll discover some of the most emblematic works and artists of this extraordinary artistic movement.

From the early murals of Diego Rivera, David Alfaro Siqueiros, and José Clemente Orozco to their later works, as well as other hidden gems and lesser-known artists of the movement, this tour will take you on a journey back in time to the turbulent 1920s and 1930s of post-revolutionary Mexico, when the country's identity was being shaped by the heat of social struggles and the shadow of its northern neighbor.

It was in this environment that a generation of talented painters achieved a brilliant synthesis of the European avant-garde while simultaneously making aesthetic innovations that dignified the notion of what it meant to be Mexican. Don't miss the opportunity to experience the monumentality and explosion of colors and emotions felt when standing before these magnificent works of art!

Great experience!

Omar was a fantastic guide and super knowledgeable about all of the murals. I was the only person on the tour and I appreciate that Omar still took the time to teach me about Rivera, Orozco, Siquieros, and more. Highly recommend for any art history lovers.

Great Tour!

Omar did a wonderful tour! He confirmed the night before with a pin to an exact meeting location and had a real passion for the content. The tour was mainly inside with restrooms available the entire time. Highly recommended!
