Description

Discover a different way to explore Colonia Condesa on this vegetarian taco tour through one of Mexico City's most vibrant neighborhoods. As we walk through its tree-lined streets, you will learn about the history and unique character of this area famous for its Art Deco and functionalist architecture, parks and cultural ambiance.

During the tour we will visit different taquerias where we will taste vegetarian tacos and vegan options that reinterpret the classic flavors of Mexican cuisine: from tacos with traditional stews to modern proposals with fresh ingredients and homemade sauces.

Between stops we will talk about the gastronomic evolution of the city, the taco culture and how Mexican cuisine also has a strong vegetarian side.

The tour also includes walks through emblematic places such as Parque Mexico and Parque España, combining gastronomy, architecture and local life. A perfect experience for curious travelers who want to eat like a local while discovering one of the city's most iconic neighborhoods.

Tacos for the family

Basstian had great communication leading up to the tour. We were a group of 3 adults and 3 children. We went to 3 taco places and Basstian provided great recommendations and helped us order (vegan and vegetarian and less spicy options). He was also very aware of safety for our 3 kids on the tour with us (6, 8, and 10 year old). A few things were a little light, potential because we had kids and we had to keep them moving. We did not feel like we learn a lot about the history and unique character of this area famous for its Art Deco and functionalist architecture, parks and cultural ambiance OR about the gastronomic evolution of the city and the taco culture, there were a few facts presented. We also walked more adjacent than through Parque Mexico and Parque España. The tour did end up taking 2h 35 minutes. And we felt like it was a good use of time. Basstian proveded a recommendation for a vegan ice cream place and the kids enjoyed playing at the park after the tour. It is a lovely area. Consider doing this tour.
