Description

With more than 1,500 historic buildings, Roma and Condesa reflect the architectural and cultural evolution of Mexico’s capital. Among plazas, avenues, and modern spaces such as galleries and cafés, you’ll discover the essence of two neighborhoods that combine tradition, modernity, and artistic life, making them an essential stop to understand the city.

The Roma neighborhood is recognized worldwide for being the setting of the Oscar winning film Roma. However, its relevance goes far beyond that: on every street, history, modernity, and cultural life intertwine. On this tour, you’ll explore plazas and avenues lined with buildings in Art Deco and eclectic styles, alongside contemporary spaces such as cafés, galleries, and bookstores. You’ll also uncover stories and anecdotes of artists, writers, and intellectuals who shaped the identity of these neighborhoods.

Roma and Condesa are not just historic districts; they represent a key point to understand Mexico City’s cultural transformation and remain one of the most attractive places for those who want to experience its most authentic essence.

Well done and informative tour!

The tour was very well done and informative, it gave me a better understanding of the Roma and Condesa neighborhoods and many interesting facts. Our tour guide Eduardo also gave us precious advices especially about food spots that we tried right away at the end of the tour. I recommend it!

Great Tour with Diana

This is the second time I took the tour with Diana - her tour is lovely, detailed and a lot of fun1 I highly recommend take the Roma-Condesa walking tour to learn about the neighbourhood and a bit about Mexican history, customs and traditions.

Sonia Vergerolle

I was in Roma and Condesa last year but never did a tour. I think it was the best decision I could have made. I will leave Mexico city with a better view of these 2 neighborhoods. Laura was very great at sharing about the history of the country and how Roma and Condesa were shaped. I really liked the fact she shared personal point of views and made recommendations. I will now walk asking myself more about the influence of the buildings or others. Thank you Laura for answering our questions always with a smile and caring about us taking advantage of the shade. I love Mexico city

Roma Norte and Condesa

In spite of having been in both Roma and Condesa a number of times, Eduardo provided insights and details we’d never had known. He’s a knowledgeable, accomplished guide.
