Hi, I'm Andri, I studied History and I've been giving local tours in my city for more than two years, here's my tour.

Live a unique experience in San Cristobal de las Casas, one of the most charming and cultural cities in Mexico for having the current representation of the Mayan culture in its indigenous population. This Free Walking Tour of San Cristobal is designed to connect you with the history, local life and culture.

During two and a half hours, we explore together some corners of the city explaining the local history (we will start explaining the colonial history of the XVI century, and will culminate with the history of the Zapatista movement of 1994), getting to know:
- The emblematic architecture of the Cathedral of San Cristobal.
- The handicrafts market.
- Church of Santo Domingo de Guzmán.
- Hotel "Diego de Mazariegos".
-The local market "José Castillo Tielemans".
- Museum of Mayan textiles.
- Coffee Museum.

We will taste the traditional drink "Pox" and we will recommend unique places to taste the local gastronomy, as well as places for nightlife.

I am sure you will learn a lot about history, politics, gastronomy, architecture and more.

Der Führer kam leider nicht oder ich fand ihn zumindest nicht, obwohl ich rechtzeitig am Ort war. Deshalb konnte ich nicht teilnehmen.

Un auténtico privilegio

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Una experiencia fantástica y totalmente recomendable. Inicialmente, el free tour iba a ser grupal, pero al estar apuntada yo sola acabó convirtiéndose en un tour individual, ¡y fue un auténtico privilegio! El guía es titulado en Historia y tiene un conocimiento impresionante sobre la historia de México, el movimiento zapatista y la cultura maya. Poder escuchar sus explicaciones con tanta calma y tener la oportunidad de preguntarle y profundizar en todos estos temas ha sido una suerte. Además, explica de una forma muy clara, amena y fácil de entender, y se muestra en todo momento abierto a responder preguntas y ampliar cualquier aspecto que despierte tu curiosidad. Ha sido mucho más que un paseo por San Cristóbal de las Casas: una oportunidad para comprender mejor la historia, la cultura y la realidad de Chiapas y de México.
