More Than a Guide: A Helpful, Reliable and Wonderful Companion i

I had a wonderful experience with **The Wonders of Windhoek Free Tour**, and I’m especially grateful to Lista for his assistance during my time in Windhoek. From the beginning, Lista was **punctual, patient, calm, dependable, and very comfortable to be around**. He has a subtle personality and a good aura that made spending time with him easy and enjoyable. He never made me feel rushed or pressured, and he took the time to understand the kind of experience I was looking for. I wanted to see Windhoek beyond the usual tourist stops and explore its history, culture, everyday life, and local experiences. What I appreciated was that Lista was willing to listen to my interests and **try places and things that I suggested**, rather than simply following a standard itinerary. His flexibility made our time together feel much more personal. Lista was also **very useful to me in ways that went beyond the tour itself**. I particularly appreciated his networking and willingness to connect me with people who could make my experience in Windhoek easier and more meaningful. Through him, I was connected with Respect, who picked me up from the airport and helped make my arrival much easier. Lista was also able to call someone who knew where we could find local foods, which was especially helpful because experiencing local food and everyday life was important to me. Another thing I genuinely appreciated was Lista’s **openness to learning**. He openly admitted that there were places and things I introduced him to that, even as a tour guide, he had not known about before. He told me that he would now add some of them to his list for future visitors. I thought that was wonderful. It showed me that he is curious and humble enough to learn from the people he meets and does not assume that being a guide means he already knows everything. I also appreciated his patience and willingness to accommodate my interests throughout our time together. Whether I wanted to explore something he had not originally planned or suggest a different place, he was willing to work with me. That made the experience feel less like a predetermined tour and more like a genuine exchange. Overall, Lista was **much more than a tour guide to me**. He was reliable, helpful, well-connected, patient, flexible, and simply a good person to have around while navigating a new city. His assistance made a real difference to my time in Windhoek. Thank you, Lista, for your kindness, patience, openness, networking, and willingness to explore Windhoek with me. I truly appreciated our time together, especially the fact that our experience became a two-way exchange: I was able to learn from you, while you were also open to learning a few things from me that you can now share with future visitors. I would be happy to recommend **The Wonders of Windhoek Free Tour** to anyone looking for a more personal and local experience of Windhoek.

1:1 Tour around Windhoek

I had a wonderful experience on the free walking tour of Windhoek. Although it was supposed to be a group tour, I ended up being the only participant, but James was still incredibly welcoming and gave me the full tour. He shared lots of fascinating information about Windhoek, especially its history and Namibia’s journey to independence. Thanks to his knowledge, I learned a lot about the city in a short time. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone wanting to discover Windhoek and understand more about its past.

Great Guide and interesting city tour

While Windhoek doesn't have many sights to see, that was a really great way to learn about them. Lista is a very kind guide and he gave me so much information especially about the history of Namibia and its struggle for independence. I was the only attendant (which I can't understand since it really is a great tour and a great way to learn about Windhoek), but he still did the whole tour for me. Can't recommend it enough to learn about Windhoek and Namibian history!
