Description

Our tour will cover topics such as the origin of Amsterdam, the medieval city walls - with the defensive towers, Dutch expeditions, the Golden Age, the East India Company, and the West India Company.

I will tell you about Rembrandt and his most important works, the social system in Amsterdam in the XVII century, religion then and now, and a few other interesting things.

Mind you, the walk is slightly off the beaten path (still in the center, however).

Get to know Amsterdam

This tour provided an overview of ‘old amsterdam’ as we transversed along the path of the old wall. Information was provided re history of the area as well as the buildings that stood/still stand. Easy start location ( central ) and end location ( flower market area)

An enjoyable and informative walking tour
