Utrecht Highlights Free Walking Tour

Utrecht is one of the oldest cities in the Netherlands, often called a smaller, more easygoing version of Amsterdam. But it’s so much more than that! Utrecht is a vibrant university city filled with quaint shops, old brown bars, hidden oases, and plenty of canals and gabled houses.

During this tour, I will show you around town. Being a historian in a city like Utrecht is a bit like being Charlie in the Chocolate Factory. There are endless stories to uncover! But we’ll talk about more than just history. How do we manage to avoid accidents with all those bicycles? How is Utrecht creating a modern, sustainable living environment? Any questions? I love them! The tour includes must-see highlights like the Cathedral and the canals, but we’ll also visit hidden gems so quiet and peaceful that you’ll forget you’re in the Netherlands' fourth-largest city.
