Informative

We had a lovely couple of hours walking around the Kathmandu Thamel region. Going through the back streets we saw and learnt about things that we would not have encountered alone….

Fantastic Tour

The tour we great we started in Thamel and walked for about 5-10 minutes to our first couple sites which were nice. After that we made our way to a few temples and market which was i think was the highlight of the trip since you got to see properly where the locals shopped and worships a little outside the touristy area. We then made out way into a local artshop where they broke down the 3 different traditional designs, what they means, and what they were used for which I personally loved learning about. The art was also very reasonably priced if you were interested in buying while getting to meet the artist that actually painted it. The tour guide was super nice and knowledgeable, would recommend.

Local traditions and sacred places

We enjoyed our tour with Deepak. He showed us around in the whole area and we learned a lot about local traditions and sacred places. You can ask Deepak everything, he is very kind and flexible. He showed us a local restaurant where we end up having a very good local dish. Give this guide a chance to show you the real life in Kathmandu

5 stars for Deepak

Super friendly, knowledgeable, knows his way around the city ... this tour was fantastic! We stopped into several temple sites, performed traditional blessings, visited an art shop, traversed the back alleys of Thamel to see some local color, and enjoyed a treat at a tea house. Thank you, Deepak!
