Description

My name is Gabriel, and with your permission, I will guide you through the streets of my hometown, Sighișoara.

I invite you to walk with me through the streets of the medieval fortress of Sighișoara, a former Saxon city of craftsmen and merchants, located in the heart of a land full of legends and steeped in traditions. Nearly eight centuries ago, Saxon and Hungarian settlements were established in Transylvania.

The tour will begin in front of the Gasthaus Altepost Hotel. From there, we will follow the road within the city walls, where we will see the most important landmarks: the iconic Clock Tower, the Monastery Church, the Citadel's main square, the Venetian House, and the House with a Stag. We will then walk up the covered stairs to the School and the Church on the Hill, where we’ll enjoy a beautiful panoramic view of the city. From here, we’ll descend through the Evangelical Cemetery, finishing the route in front of the City Hall.

Excellent tour of an ancient city with a fascinting history

Gabriel was an excellent guide - personable, extremely knowledgeable, and he has a knack for selecting places, events, and people that help to tell the long history of this beautiful UNESCO designated city. We loved our tour and learned a lot about everything from the early settlement of this area, thru the Communist years, and even until today. Gabriel is a native of Sighisaura and his love of the town is palpable. He also gave us recommendations for where to dine and some traditional food and beverage to try.

Very nice and xomplete walk around the city

We had a wonderfull walk with Gabriel . He told us a lot of history about the city of Sigisoara. The walk was about 2 hours and he did not rush it . We were just 2 persons so it was nice and quiet. A very possitive experience.
