Tashkent Private Tour by Car: Old, Soviet & Modern Tashkent

Discover Tashkent through its different historical layers on a private 5-hour tour by car.

Start in the Old City, where you’ll explore the traditional mahallas, Chorsu Bazaar and the Hazrati Imam complex, and learn about Tashkent’s centuries-old history and role on the Silk Road.

Then see how the city changed during the Russian and Soviet periods, with its new streets, public spaces and distinctive urban character. We’ll also experience the famous Tashkent Metro, where the stations themselves tell part of the city’s story.

You’ll also have the opportunity to taste traditional Uzbek plov and experience one of the country’s most important culinary traditions.

Finally, discover modern Tashkent and see how the capital continues to change today.

This is a private tour for up to 3 people, with a flexible pace and plenty of time for questions, photos and local stories. Rather than simply checking off landmarks, you’ll understand how different periods shaped the Tashkent you see today.
