I am Van, aka Jenny, a young local who can speak English very well, and has more than 5 years of experience guiding around North Vietnam with a Professional Tour Guide Certificate. Having called Hanoi home for over twenty years, my team and I have a deep love for this city and all its hidden gems.

Our goal for this tour is to explore the history of the French Quarter from the colonial period, alongside the struggle of the Vietnamese people for independence (such as the Government Guest House, the Opera House, and Hoa Lo Prison).

To discover the architecture of a miniature Paris in the heart of Hanoi with structures similar to those in Paris (St. Joseph's Cathedral, the Grand Opera House, and the Metropole Hotel). In addition, it uncovered French influence and unique Indochinese architecture.

Additionally, we will guide you in exploring the history of Vietnam's resistance against America, known as the Vietnam War. We can't wait to show you how interesting Vietnamese history is!

Great Walking Tour

Van runs a really nice walking tour focused on the history of Hanoi. It's built in chronological order and tells you pretty much the entire history of Vietnam, although the focus líes primarily in the last couple centuries. She also brought us to her favourite coffee place which is hidden in an old colonial house in the Franchisee quartier and the coffee was amazing! Thanks a lot Van!

Fifi is our favorite tour guide
