Description

We’re Nam, Van, Lisa, and Julia, a group of young locals who speak English fluently, each holding a Professional Tour Guide Certificate. Having called Hanoi home for over twenty years, we have a deep love for this city and all its hidden gems. Join us on a journey through Vietnam’s history, where we’ll uncover the life of Uncle Ho and the incredible strength of the Vietnamese people.

- Begin at the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, where “Uncle Ho” rests.
- Next, we’ll see the grand Presidential Palace (optional), built during French colonial times.
- Inside the Ho Chi Minh Museum, the exhibit shows a piece of Ho Chi Minh’s journey and the nation’s struggle against French colonization and anti-American resistance.
- Then, we’ll visit the peaceful One Pillar Pagoda, a temple shaped like a lotus.
- Our next stop is the B-52 Museum, where we’ll see the remains of a B-52 bomber from the Vietnam War. Here, you’ll learn about the tough battles Vietnam fought against powerful forces.
- Finally, we’ll visit a hidden lake where a B-52 plane lies partially submerged.

A Insightful Tour from Start to Finish

Julia is an amazing guide with great English who is very knowledgeable about Vietnam's history and resilience. She was mindful about our comfort and helped us get refreshments throughout the 3 hour tour. As a first-generation Asian American whose parents fled the country as refugees, I truly felt like I was able to learn and start to reconnect with my identity from this tour and my only regret is that it was not longer! Julia expressed the sorrow of the aftermath of the war and hopes that we can continue the journey of healing for all Vietnamese people all around the world. As an independent tour guide, Julia was able to teach in-depth information about Vietnamese spirituality, culture, and history. I much prefer this style of tour guiding because I didn't feel like we were being rushed from one spot to another and only learning surface level information. We visited the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and Museum, One Pillar Pagoda, B52 Museum and Lake, and walked along the local streets to see local life. If you want to learn about Vietnam, Hanoi, and it's people in earnest, please go on this tour. You will not regret it!

Amazing tour. Highly recommend

Booked this tour last minute and Thu made her best to still made my morning a success. Thu is incredibly knowledgeable and has a real talent for explaining things. Throughout the tour, she shared fascinating historical insights and details that made the experience truly memorable. I would definitely recommend Thu to anyone looking to learn more about Hanoi and Vietnam.

Ho Chi Min Mausoleum Tour

We did the mausoleum tour with Julia today and it was nothing short of fantastic! We were the only people on the tour (maybe it is because the mausoleum is closed right now until November 26) but this didn't really matter because of our guide Julia! She took a lot of time showing us the Ho Chi Min museum the pagoda and the B52 she explained and lot and we also learned so much about Vietnam and its people and history (also from her personal perspective which I found especially interesting). Also it was quite funny with her, would absolutely do it again (and that's coming from a humourless German couple)!

Amazing experience

The tour was absolutely amazing! It was a great experience even though it rained a lot. Despite the bad weather our guide (Lisa) was always in a good mood and you could really feel how passionate she was about every topic she told us about.

Amazing tour

Van was an amazing tour. We had a great time with her. We could feel her passion about the history of her country in the museum of Ho Chi Minh where she had worked. She shared so many stories and fun facts, it was fascinating. Hugely recommend!!
